Maximilian Chong
Director
Currently a sophomore at Vancouver College, Max is honoured to serve as the Director of the European Union at NVMUN 2025. Since starting his MUN career three years ago, Max has been fascinated by the fast-paced diplomacy and complex engagements MUN has to offer. Starting from meeting and collaborating with new delegates, to developing an ability to wake up for an early morning crisis committee session. Not to mention the free staircase workout. Outside of MUN, Max can be found starting month-long computer science projects, flipping computers on Facebook Marketplace, and occasionally practicing his musical abilities. Max looks forward to a great weekend of debate, and wishes the best of luck to all delegates at NVMUN 2025.

Juliet Mabasa
Chair
In her junior year at Little Flower Academy, Juliet is honoured to serve as Chair of EU at the first iteration of NVMUN. Since beginning her Model UN journey in grade 9, Juliet has fallen in love with the hours of passionate debate. Albeit a nerve-wracking start, she has learned to cherish the long-lasting memories of “Thank you for that… zestful speech delegate,” late night research sessions, spontaneous crisis directives, but most of all, the friendships she’s made along the way. When not focusing intensely during her committee sessions, Juliet can be found embracing her inner dolphin at the swimming pool, singing her heart out in the bathroom shower, or continuing her research projects at the hospital. Juliet is extremely excited to witness the passionate debate that will unfold at NVMUN 2025, and looks forward to meeting all of the new delegates!
